Professional Exams

Energy Defence Council may provide professional examinations and competency assessments to support engineers, architects, surveyors, technicians, and specialists in achieving professional recognition and classification.

First: Fundamentals Tests

These tests are designed for applicants who hold a bachelor’s degree or relevant academic qualification in the required specialization.
  • FE – Fundamentals of Engineering Exam For engineering graduates in various engineering disciplines.
  • FS – Fundamentals of Surveying Exam For graduates in surveying or related technical fields.
  • FA – Fundamentals of Architecture Exam For architecture graduates and related professional disciplines.

Second: Principles and Practices Tests

These tests are designed for experienced professionals seeking advanced professional classification or recognition.

  • PE – Principles and Practices of Engineering Exam For engineers with practical experience in engineering specializations.
  • PS – Principles and Practices of Surveying Exam For professionals with experience in surveying specializations.
  • PA – Principles and Practices of Architecture Exam For professionals with experience in architectural specializations.

Tests Provided and Approved

Energy Defence Council may provide or approve professional tests and competency assessments through authorized examination bodies and professional partners.

First: Council Professional Tests

The Council may offer fundamentals-based tests to evaluate the basic technical knowledge and professional readiness of applicants.

Engineering Fundamentals Test

This test may cover key engineering disciplines such as:

  • Electrical Engineering
  • Mechanical Engineering
  • Civil Engineering
  • Chemical engineering
  • Industrial engineering
  • Other (for all other engineering specialities)

Architecture Fundamentals Test

This test is designed for applicants from architecture and related built-environment disciplines.

Second: International or Partner Examination Tests

Energy Defence Council may recognize or coordinate with approved international or professional examination bodies for specialized assessments.

These may include:

  • Electrical and computer engineering
  • Mechanical Engineering
  • Civil Engineering
  • Chemical engineering
  • 5Industrial and systems engineering
  • Environmental engineering
  • Other (for all other engineering specialties)
  • Survey basics test

Principles and Practices Tests

These tests are designed for experienced professionals and may cover advanced engineering, surveying, architecture, and sector-specific technical specializations.

Final test eligibility, registration, approval, and certification will be subject to the Council’s official examination guidelines.
